MPB Joins MADANI Agrikomoditi Programme in Johor Outreach

BATU PAHAT, 22 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Malaysian Pepper Board (MPB) played an active role in the Santuni MADANI Agrikomoditi Programme held at MRSM Batu Pahat, Johor, bringing together government agencies, entrepreneurs and members of the public to strengthen engagement within the agrikomoditi sector.

According to information from the Malaysian Pepper Board, the programme was officiated by Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad and gathered around 1,000 participants, including smallholders, students, youth and local communities.

The initiative saw participation from MPB officers and staff, as well as micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) entrepreneurs under the commodities sector.

The programme featured a range of activities, including technology demonstrations, agrikomoditi knowledge-sharing sessions, agency exhibitions and interactive engagements designed to benefit visitors and promote industry awareness.

Two MPB-supported MSME entrepreneurs, Kohajj Trading and IFA MZ Marketing, also participated by showcasing and promoting pepper-based products to visitors.

In addition to its exhibition role, MPB was entrusted as coordinator for a community sports activity involving a penalty kick competition, which attracted strong participation and positive response from attendees.

The board said its involvement reflects continued efforts to strengthen relationships between agrikomoditi agencies and local communities while supporting entrepreneurship development and sectoral awareness.

The programme also underscores ongoing initiatives to enhance community engagement and promote innovation within Malaysia’s commodities industry. – The Capital Post
