MIRI, 25 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – Newly appointed teachers in the districts of Miri and Subis were given insights into their roles and responsibilities as educators during a Professional Discourse Programme attended by Deputy Director-General of Education Malaysia (School Operations Sector), Zainal Abas.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia, the programme was held at Sekolah Kebangsaan Agama Miri and aimed to provide exposure and motivation to newly placed teachers while conveying the Ministry of Education’s aspirations in strengthening the quality of education nationwide.
During the session, Zainal shared key messages on the responsibilities of educators and the importance of upholding excellence in teaching as part of the ministry’s efforts to nurture future generations and enhance educational outcomes.
The programme also featured the presentation of tablet devices to schools under the Baram District Education Office (PPD), contributed by Yayasan Didik Negara.

The initiative is intended to advance digital education, expand access to technology and support more effective and inclusive teaching and learning practices in classrooms.
