PUTRAJAYA, 26 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – Economy Minister Datuk Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir visited the Kelab Ekonomi Open Sale at Menara Prisma to show support for initiatives aimed at empowering local entrepreneurs and promoting community-based products.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Ekonomi, the programme featured a variety of locally produced goods, including premium agricultural and aquaculture products such as Sun Melon and fresh tilapia cultivated by the Institut Pertanian dan Rakanan (IPR) INTAN@UPM.
The ministry said the sale of Sun Melon and fresh tilapia reflects the successful transfer of knowledge, technology and innovation in the agri-food sector, creating economic value for producers while expanding market access and increasing participants’ income.
The initiative also highlights the achievements of IPR-INTAN under the Ministry of Economy in connecting local producers directly with consumers and strengthening the domestic supply chain.

The programme is aligned with the MADANI Government’s aspiration to strengthen the people’s economy by supporting entrepreneurship, enhancing productivity in the agri-food sector and building a more sustainable and competitive local supply chain.
The ministry expressed hope that similar initiatives would continue to serve as platforms linking producers, entrepreneurs and consumers while contributing to more inclusive and sustainable economic growth that benefits the rakyat. – The Capital Post.
