Communications Ministry Inspects Johor Poll Media Centre

MUAR, 29 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – Communications Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah visited the Johor State Election Media Centre at the National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI) in Kampung Sabak Awor to review its operations and facilities ahead of the Johor state election.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Komunikasi, the media centre will operate from 26 June to 11 July 2026 to support media practitioners covering the 16th Johor State Election.

During the visit, Abdul Halim received a briefing from the media coordinator on the centre’s daily operations and assessed its facilities, while also gathering feedback and proposals to further enhance media management for future election coverage.

He stressed the importance of providing internet connectivity with speeds of at least 100 Mbps to ensure journalists can transmit photos and video footage quickly and efficiently throughout the election period.

The ministry said the initiative reflects its commitment to supporting smooth, effective and high-quality media coverage by providing the necessary infrastructure and facilities for media personnel. – The Capital Post.
