KPK strengthens sustainable palm oil industry through ITe project

Batu Pahat, 6 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad visited the Livestock Integration with Oil Palm Incentive Scheme (ITe) project involving laying ducks at Kampung Gombak, Mukim Peserai, Batu Pahat, Johor on Sunday.

The ITe scheme is one of the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities’ (KPK) initiatives aimed at promoting more efficient use of oil palm plantation land through integrated livestock farming activities.

The ministry said the integrated approach enhances the utilisation of existing resources while creating opportunities to increase the income of smallholders and strengthen the sustainability of Malaysia’s agricommodity sector.

The initiative also reflects KPK’s ongoing commitment to promoting sustainable agricultural practices and improving the long-term productivity of the palm oil industry.
