SELANGOR, 8 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) has launched Cohort 2 of its Diploma Work-Based Learning (WBL) 2.0 programme following the successful graduation of 230 Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) personnel under the first cohort.

The launch ceremony was officiated by Deputy Secretary-General (Management) Datin Roszanina Wahab at the National Defence University of Malaysia (UPNM).

The Diploma WBL programme is a MINDEF initiative aimed at strengthening human capital development within the armed forces by recognising military service experience as a pathway to obtaining academic qualifications, while enhancing the employability of personnel after completing their service.

UPNM continues to serve as MINDEF’s strategic partner and is the first public university in Malaysia to develop three Diploma WBL programmes tailored for members of the armed forces.
