ALOR SETAR, 9 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail was conferred the Darjah Kebesaran Dato’ Seri Setia Pahlawan Yang Amat Dihormati (S.S.P.K.), which carries the title “Dato’ Seri Pahlawan”, during an investiture ceremony at Balairung Seri Besar, Istana Anak Bukit on Wednesday.
The ceremony was held in conjunction with the 84th birthday celebration of the Sultan of Kedah, Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah. Also in attendance was the Sultanah of Kedah, Sultanah Maliha Tengku Ariff.
The S.S.P.K. is among Kedah’s highest state honours and is awarded to individuals who have made distinguished contributions, particularly in the fields of security, defence and national sovereignty.
Also receiving state honours were Petaling Jaya District Police Chief ACP Shamsuddin Mamat and Bukit Aman Special Branch officer ACP Nadzarul Ahmad Termizi, who were among five recipients of the Ahli Setia Pahlawan (A.S.P.) award.
Meanwhile, Langkawi Police Training Centre Integrity and Standards Compliance Branch Chief ASP Muhammad Hakimi Talib received the Bintang Perkhidmatan Cemerlang Kedah (B.C.K.) alongside 30 other recipients.

During the same ceremony, the Sultan of Kedah also presented the Ahli Mahkota Kedah (A.M.K.) honour to 31 recipients and the Bintang Kebaktian Masyarakat (B.K.M.) to 43 recipients, bringing the total number of recipients of state honours, medals and decorations to 111.
Also present were members of the Kedah royal family, Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, Malaysia Police Secretary DCP Mohamad Noor Yusof Ali, and Police Family Association chairman Puan Sri Datuk (Dr.) Munirah Che Rose.
