SINGAPORE, Friday, 12 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and Singapore Police Force (SPF) have continued to strengthen strategic cooperation in combating cross-border crime through the 145th Singapore–Malaysia Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Liaison Meeting held at Swissotel The Stamford here.
According to a post by Polis Diraja Malaysia (Royal Malaysia Police) on its official Facebook page, the bilateral meeting was led by Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Director CP Datuk M. Kumar S. Muthuvelu and focused on various issues of mutual interest aimed at enhancing regional security cooperation between both countries.
The meeting discussed several key areas, including current developments involving cross-border crime, organised crime, online sexual crimes against children, cryptocurrency-related investigations, forensic capabilities, as well as efforts to strengthen intelligence sharing, expertise exchange and the adoption of best practices in criminal investigations.
To further enhance strategic collaboration, the PDRM delegation also conducted benchmarking visits to the Digital Disruption Centre, Cyber Command and FIRST Lab at HTX, SPF to gain insights into advanced intelligence capabilities, latest technologies and best practices in cybercrime investigations and forensic operations.

The engagement reflects the continued commitment of PDRM and SPF to strengthen professional ties and law enforcement cooperation in ensuring the safety, security and well-being of both Malaysia and Singapore.
