PETRA Promotes Mental and Physical Well-Being Through Wellness Programme

KUALA LUMPUR, 14 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA), through its Human Resource Management Division, organised the Sinergi Sejahtera: Mental and Physical Health Integration programme to promote employee well-being and a healthier workplace culture.

Held at Dewan Baiduri, Menara PETRA, the programme was attended by 90 officers and staff from various divisions, departments and agencies under the ministry.

The event featured a mental health session by Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) lecturer Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aziz Shah Mohamad Arip and a physical health session conducted by fitness personality and social media influencer Coach Hanif Loid.

The programme aimed to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining a balance between mental and physical health as the foundation for personal well-being and organisational excellence.

Participants gained knowledge and practical skills to adopt healthier lifestyles, manage stress positively and build resilience in facing daily and workplace challenges.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Peralihan Tenaga dan Transformasi Air, the programme is expected to encourage the adoption of healthier daily practices while fostering a more harmonious, productive and resilient work environment. – The Capital Post.
