KUALA LUMPUR, 17 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) received a courtesy visit from a United Kingdom delegation on 16 July, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing strategic cooperation on security, enforcement and human rights.
Deputy Secretary-General (Security) of KDN, Datuk Abdul Halim Abdul Rahman, hosted the delegation led by Eleanor Sanders, the United Kingdom’s Human Rights Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva.
The meeting focused on issues of mutual interest between Malaysia and the United Kingdom, particularly in the areas of security, law enforcement and human rights.

Also present were British High Commissioner to Malaysia Ajay Sharma CMG; Deputy Director-General (Operations) of the Immigration Department of Malaysia, Lokman Effendi Ramli; Deputy Commissioner General of Prisons Hafidz Othman; Secretary of KDN’s International Division Mohd Azlan Razali; and senior officials from the ministry.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Dalam Negeri (KDN), the meeting reflects the commitment of both countries to strengthening bilateral engagement and expanding cooperation on matters of shared interest. – The Capital Post
