FARNBOROUGH, UNITED KINGDOM, July 21, 2026 (The Capital Post) – Malaysia officially launched its national pavilion at the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) 2026, highlighting the country’s aerospace capabilities and reinforcing its position in the global aerospace value chain.
The Malaysia Pavilion was officiated by Malaysia’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dato’ Indera Dr. Azfar Mohamad Mustafar. Coordinated by MATRADE with the support of the High Commission of Malaysia in London, the National Aerospace Industry Corporation Malaysia (NAICO Malaysia), and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), the pavilion serves as a strategic platform to promote Malaysia’s aerospace industry.
The launch ceremony was attended by Ministry of Defence Secretary-General Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali, Royal Malaysian Air Force Chief General Tan Sri Muhamad Norazlan Aris, MATRADE Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Abu Bakar Yusof, and NAICO Malaysia Chief Executive Officer Prof. Ts. Dr. Shamsul Kamar Abu Samah.

Running from July 20 to 24, the Malaysia Pavilion features 15 Malaysian companies and agencies, showcasing local technologies, expertise and innovations while creating opportunities for international trade, investment and strategic partnerships.
The Ministry of Defence is also leveraging FIA 2026 to strengthen collaboration with global defence and aerospace industry leaders, while promoting the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) 2027 and Defence Services Asia & National Security Asia (DSA & NATSEC Asia) 2028.
