KUCHING, August 4, 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Deputy Secretary-General (Security) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN), Dato’ Haji Abdul Halim Abdul Rahman, conducted a working visit to the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) Sarawak Headquarters in Muara Tebas on Monday to review its operational capabilities and ongoing infrastructure development.
He was accompanied by Hairuddin Abdullah, Deputy Undersecretary I of KDN’s Public Security and Order Division.
During the visit, Sarawak Maritime Director First Admiral Mohd Khairi Abd Aziz delivered a briefing on the operations and current status of the Sarawak Maritime Complex. The briefing also covered the progress of the RM79 million additional operational jetty project at the Tun Abang Salahuddin Maritime Complex (KOMTAS) in Muara Tebas.

The project is being overseen and implemented by the Transport Infrastructure Engineering Branch (CKIP) under the Federal Public Works Department (JKR) and is expected to enhance Sarawak Maritime’s operational capacity in safeguarding Malaysia’s maritime borders.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Dalam Negeri (KDN), the working visit reflects the ministry’s continued commitment to strengthening maritime security infrastructure and improving operational readiness in safeguarding the nation’s waters. – The Capital Post
