KUALA LUMPUR, 4 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Works (KKR) reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening public service delivery and good governance during its August 2026 Monthly Assembly, held at Dewan Tan Sri Mahfoz Khalid.
The assembly brought together Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, the ministry’s senior management and representatives from agencies under KKR.
The programme began with an inspirational talk titled “Minda Juara Penjawat Awam: Penyampaian Berimpak, Rakyat Yakin, Negara Sejahtera” delivered by Amin Idris, followed by a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the handover of the ministry’s new bus.
Held under the theme “Penyampaian Berimpak: Rakyat Yakin, Negara Sejahtera”, the gathering served as a platform to strengthen unity among ministry personnel and renew their commitment to delivering quality public services.
The event also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Public Works Department (JKR) and the Malaysian Institute of Integrity (IIM) to strengthen strategic collaboration in promoting integrity, enhancing good governance and improving the effectiveness of public service delivery.

In his address, Alexander said every road constructed, school completed and hospital upgraded represents more than just a development project, but a responsibility that has a direct impact on the lives of the people.
He stressed that an organisation’s success should not be measured by the number of meetings held or policies announced, but by tangible outcomes that benefit the public and contribute to the nation’s well-being.
