Communications Ministry Reaffirms Support for CPI Task Force

PUTRAJAYA, 8 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Communications Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah received a courtesy call from Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Senior Director of the National Governance Planning Division (BPGN) and Head of the Secretariat for the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) Special Task Force, Dato’ Pj Idris Zaharudin, at Menara Komunikasi.

During the meeting, the Communications Ministry, as the lead agency for Focus Group 6 (FG6): Strategic Communications, reaffirmed its commitment to continue supporting BPGN in strengthening communication efforts aimed at enhancing public awareness and promoting initiatives under the Malaysia CPI Special Task Force.

The discussion focused on reinforcing strategic communication initiatives to support the implementation of programmes and activities related to improving Malaysia’s Corruption Perceptions Index.

BPGN also expressed its appreciation for the commitment shown by the ministry and its leadership in driving the agenda of Focus Group 6, acknowledging the close cooperation provided in ensuring the success of the Malaysia CPI Special Task Force’s initiatives.

Also present were Principal Assistant Secretary of the Strategic Communications and Corporate Division Muhammad Khairi Abdul Rahman and Assistant Secretary of the Integrity Unit Hartini Mohd Noor.
