KUALA LUMPUR, 19 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Maslan today officiated the pre-launch of the 13th Malaysian Road Conference and Exhibition 2026 (MRC 2026) and the 6th International Road Federation Global Asia-Pacific Regional Congress at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL).
The pre-launch marked the early promotion of MRC 2026, which will be held from 13 to 15 October 2026 at WTCKL under the theme “Transforming the Nation Through Future Ready Roads”.
The conference reflects Malaysia’s commitment to strengthening resilient, sustainable and environmentally responsible road infrastructure in line with the country’s development needs and increasingly complex infrastructure landscape.
MRC 2026 is expected to attract around 1,000 participants from Malaysia and abroad, including about 100 technical paper presenters who will share expertise, experience and the latest technological and innovative developments in road engineering.
A total of 109 exhibition booths will also be available to showcase technologies, products and innovative solutions in the road sector.
The conference will also feature the Young Engineers and Professionals (YEP) programme, providing young engineers and professionals with opportunities to expand their knowledge and professional networks.

Higher education students will have the opportunity to showcase their innovations and academic products through the Malaysia Road Conference Invention & Innovation Exhibition 2026 (MRC-IIE 2026).
Participants will also be offered technical visits to four strategic infrastructure projects, providing first-hand exposure to the latest developments and implementation of infrastructure projects in the country.
Overall, MRC 2026 is expected to strengthen knowledge-sharing, expertise and collaboration at both domestic and international levels, while providing a platform to promote Malaysian road engineering technology and innovation globally.
The initiative is in line with the Ministry of Works’ efforts to ensure the management and development of the country’s road assets remain high-quality, resilient and sustainable for the benefit of present and future generations.
