PUTRAJAYA, 19 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Community Development Department (KEMAS) is planning to collaborate with Media Prima through TV3 to expand public awareness of its community, skills and development programmes nationwide.
The proposed collaboration aims to highlight KEMAS’ role and initiatives since its establishment in 1961, while providing greater exposure to the talents, skills, potential and success stories of grassroots communities.
One of the key focuses will be the KEMAS Festival (FESMA) 2026, scheduled to take place in November, featuring three main programmes – KEMAS Skills Day, Alpha Gen Talents (TABIKA KEMAS Children’s Potential Day)and the Islamic Arts Festival (IFEST).
Through the collaboration, KEMAS programmes such as skills demonstrations, participants’ creative work, inspirational stories and community entrepreneurs’ success stories could be featured through TV3’s television and digital platforms in engaging and accessible formats.

The initiative will also provide opportunities for KEMAS to promote skills and entrepreneurship programmes, while highlighting various community development activities carried out at the grassroots level.
The collaboration is expected to provide KEMAS with a wider platform to showcase community talents, skills and success stories while bringing its development initiatives closer to the public through television and digital media.

Representing KEMAS were Director-General Datuk Mohd Hanafiah bin Man; Education and Skills Division Director Dr. Faridah Mat; Early Childhood Education Division Director Cik Anisah Saidin; Community Development Division Director Tuan Haji Abdul Rahim Omar Baki; Training and Professional Development Division Director Yuhany Kamarol Zaman; and Corporate Communications Unit Head Mohammad Shah Zainal Abidin.
