KUALA LUMPUR, 22 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Global supply chain company HAVI will establish its TechHUB in Kuala Lumpur, making it one of only four technology hubs operated by the company worldwide and its first in the Asia-Pacific region.
The hub, scheduled to officially open in November, will focus on developing digital solutions for Asia-Pacific supply chains, including AI-driven forecasting, data analytics, automation and Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled fleet management.
HAVI said the Kuala Lumpur TechHUB has already hired 50 technology professionals since March and is expected to expand to 100 employees by the end of 2026, with plans to create up to 150 high-value jobs by mid-2027.
The roles will cover areas including demand forecasting, data analytics, product management, software engineering, cybersecurity, cloud operations and change management.
HAVI Chief Digital and Information Officer Reto Sahli said Malaysia’s technology capabilities, multilingual talent and regional connectivity made the country well positioned to support the company’s growth in Asia-Pacific.
“Through the Kuala Lumpur TechHUB, we are not only building digital solutions for our customers and operations, but we are also creating opportunities for Malaysian professionals to take on global roles and shape how supply chains evolve across the region,” he said.
The company will also introduce a talent development programme covering technical skills in AI, analytics, automation and cloud-based supply chain systems, alongside logistics training and leadership development.
HAVI Director of Technology Transformation Daniela Ribeiro said the Kuala Lumpur hub would operate as part of the company’s global technology network under its “Follow the Sun” model.

She said the model would allow teams across different time zones to maintain continuous progress and exchange expertise.
“Supply chain transformation is ultimately about people,” Ribeiro said, adding that the company’s focus in Malaysia would be on developing teams capable of combining technology expertise with an understanding of Asia-Pacific market needs.
Malaysia’s logistics and supply chain market is projected to grow from US$29.70 billion in 2025 to US$31.23 billion in 2026, before reaching US$40.11 billion by 2031, driven by e-commerce growth, supply chain modernisation and increasing automation.
The country’s digital economy also recorded RM87.4 billion in approved digital investments in 2025, which are expected to generate more than 31,000 high-value jobs.
HAVI said the Kuala Lumpur TechHUB would strengthen the city’s position as a strategic centre for digital supply chain transformation in the Asia-Pacific region.
The company is also inviting Malaysian professionals in software engineering, data analytics, AI, cloud operations, cybersecurity, IoT systems and product management to join its growing technology team. – The Capital Post
