PUTRAJAYA, 1 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Social Security Organisation (PERKESO) highlighted the importance of social protection during the 69th National Day celebrations at Dataran Putrajaya, where it led the Economic Component Contingent comprising representatives from various sectors contributing to the nation’s development and wellbeing.

For the first time, PERKESO featured a decorated vehicle themed “PERKESO LINDUNG Semua”, showcasing the journey of a worker who suffers an adversity, receives treatment and rehabilitation, and eventually regains independence and productivity.

The display of rehabilitation technology and real-life stories of insured persons symbolised how social protection extends beyond benefits, serving as a source of hope, dignity and opportunities for individuals to rebuild their lives and continue contributing to their families and the nation.

PERKESO’s participation carried the message that independence also means ensuring Malaysians have protection and the strength to recover when facing life’s challenges.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Sumber Manusia, PERKESO’s participation in the National Day celebrations highlighted the role of social protection in supporting workers and families. – The Capital Post
