KUALA LUMPUR, 1 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The 6th International Cyber Resilience Conference (CRC 2026) kicked off today, bringing together policymakers, government and enforcement agencies, academics, researchers, industry players and cybersecurity practitioners from Malaysia and abroad.
The conference, held from 1 to 3 September 2026 in a hybrid format at Bangi Resort Hotel, Selangor, was highlighted during an interview on the Fokus 30 segment of BERNAMA Radio featuring YBrs. Prof. Ts. Dr. Ainuddin Wahid bin Abdul Wahab, General Chair of CRC 2026, and YBrs. SAC Dr. Shazrin Azlin binti Ruslan, Deputy Chief Executive of the Malaysian Institute of Public Safety (IPSOM).
CRC 2026 has recorded participation from 47 countries, with 160 papers scheduled for presentation, reflecting international commitment and cooperation in strengthening the cyber resilience agenda.
The conference serves as an important platform for sharing knowledge, expertise, emerging technologies and strategic directions to address increasingly complex and cross-border cyber threats.
CRC 2026 also emphasises the Whole-of-Government and Whole-of-Nation approaches in strengthening cooperation between the Government, enforcement agencies, academia and industry. The conference also supports strategic research related to the Cyber Crime Fusion Center (CCFC), particularly in developing governance and operational models.

Beyond being an academic conference, CRC 2026 aims to bridge knowledge to action by ensuring research findings, exchange of ideas and strategic networks can be translated into policies, capacity building and solutions that have an impact on the security of the people and the nation.
The conference will reach its official highlight tomorrow, 2 September 2026, with the CRC 2026 Opening Ceremony to be officiated by Home Affairs Minister YB Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail, underscoring the Government’s commitment to strengthening the country’s cyber preparedness and resilience.
