PUTRAJAYA, 2 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – A delegation of 38 students and six teachers from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Bintulu, Sarawak visited the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) as part of an educational visit to gain a closer understanding of the ministry’s roles, functions and public sector administration.
The visit on 1 September also provided the students with an opportunity to meet Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, who spent time engaging with the delegation and listening to their experiences.
The programme included an interactive session with MOTAC personnel, an introduction to the ministry’s role and functions, and an overview of public service administration.
The students also attended a presentation on the branding and promotion of Malaysia’s attractions and unique features by Public Relations Officer Encik Azmi bin Abd Majid, as well as sessions sharing knowledge and experiences to complement their classroom learning.

The delegation was also received by MOTAC Corporate Communications Chief YBrs. Puan Firna Azura Ekaputri binti Haji Marzuki.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya Malaysia, the visit was aimed at providing students with broader exposure to public service and Malaysia’s tourism sector while encouraging learning beyond the classroom. – The Capital Post
