PULAU PERHENTIAN, 5 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Perhentian International Dive Festival (PIDF) 2026 is highlighting Malaysia’s marine heritage, culture and tourism experiences, with Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry (MOTAC) Secretary-General Dato’ Shaharuddin bin Abu Sohot visiting the festival on 4 September.
During the visit, Dato’ Shaharuddin toured booths at Mimpi Perhentian to review the exhibitions and activities offered throughout the festival.
Among the attractions featured were an archaeology exhibition by the Department of National Heritage, an exhibition showcasing local arts and craft heritage, and a display of photography equipment used for underwater activities.

The festival brings together various activities centred on Malaysia’s underwater attractions while providing a platform to showcase the country’s heritage, arts, culture and distinctive tourism experiences to visitors and the international diving community.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya Malaysia, Dato’ Shaharuddin attended the festival on 4 September 2026. – The Capital Post
