KANGAR, 6 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – A total of 33,548 pupils from Tabika Perpaduan nationwide took part in a simultaneous colouring competition, earning a place in the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR).
The achievement was recorded through the “Satu Suara, Seribu Warna” programme held as part of Semarak Perpaduan Perlis and officiated by National Unity Minister YB Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang in Kangar on 5 September.
The programme was organised by Pertubuhan Nadi Sihat in collaboration with the Ministry of National Unity through the Department of National Unity and Integration (JPNIN).
In his address, Aaron said arts and culture were integral to Malaysia’s identity and among the most effective means of bringing communities together.
He said the Government would continue efforts to ensure the country’s arts and cultural heritage were preserved while remaining known and appreciated by younger generations.

He also highlighted the role of institutions such as the Department of Museums Malaysia, National Library of Malaysia and National Archives of Malaysia in preserving the nation’s history, knowledge, documentation and cultural heritage for future generations.
Aaron said efforts to preserve and promote arts and culture should also be viewed as part of nation-building and strengthening unity, in line with the aspirations of the National Unity Policy and National Cultural Policy.
The programme marked the third consecutive year of collaboration between Nadi Sihat and the Ministry of National Unity in organising initiatives that promote messages of unity among the community.
