Digital Ministry Brings AI Nation 2030 Agenda Closer to Malaysians

KUALA LUMPUR, 14 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Digital Ministry brought Malaysia’s digital transformation agenda closer to the public through its participation in the 67th Parliament of Malaysia Open Day 2026, highlighting initiatives supporting the country’s AI Nation 2030 aspiration.

On the second day of the event on Sunday (13 September), the ministry’s booth showcased five key areas — Digital Services, Public Sector Digitalisation, Your Personal Data, AI Malaysia 2030 and Rakyat Digital.

The showcase provided visitors with an opportunity to learn more about digital initiatives and developments aimed at benefiting Malaysians while strengthening the country’s digital ecosystem.

Dewan Negara President YB Senator Dato’ Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah officiated the closing ceremony of the two-day Parliament Open Day.

Following the ceremony, he visited the Digital Ministry’s booth and viewed its Parliament Hansard showcase, which is designed to provide faster and more systematic access to parliamentary debate records.

Throughout the two-day event, the booth served as an engagement platform where members of the public could obtain information, ask questions and better understand Malaysia’s national digital agenda.

The ministry said the engagement also highlighted efforts to develop an inclusive and progressive digital ecosystem as Malaysia moves towards becoming an AI Nation by 2030.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of the Digital Ministry, its participation in the Parliament Open Day provided a platform to engage directly with the public and increase awareness of Malaysia’s digital transformation initiatives. – The Capital Post
