SINGAPORE, 25 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) retained its overall championship for a fourth consecutive time at the 61st Inter-Forces Games (IFG) 2026 after defeating the Singapore Police Force (SPF) 3-2.
PDRM secured victories in three of the five events contested, winning table tennis 2-1 and badminton 6-1, while its golf team recorded 382 points.
SPF, meanwhile, emerged victorious in the dragon boat and women’s futsal events, both with 3-0 results.
PDRM’s overall triumph was announced during the 61st IFG 2026 dinner at Orchard Hotel, attended by athletes and team officials from both forces.
Inspector-General of Police IG Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Hj. Mohd Khalid Hj. Ismail said the Inter-Forces Games went beyond sporting competition by providing a platform to foster mutual understanding, professional trust and stronger ties between PDRM and SPF.
He also highlighted the importance of interaction and experience-sharing between both forces in strengthening cooperation to address shared security challenges.

Earlier, Mohd Khalid attended the badminton final at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Traffic Police Headquarters.
Following the match, he and Commissioner of Singapore Police Force How Kwang Hwee presented prizes to the winners.
The tournament challenge trophy was subsequently presented to PDRM as the overall champion of the 61st IFG 2026, marking the conclusion of the competition.
Also present were PDRM Management Director and PDRM Sports Council Chairman CP Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah; Narcotics Crime Investigation Department Director CP Dato’ Hussein Omar Khan; Johor Police Chief CP Dato’ Ab Rahaman Arsad; Kedah Police Chief CP Datuk Adzli Abu Shah; Bukit Aman Special Branch Deputy Director CP Dato’ Mohamad Shaharul Md Osman; and Malaysian Police Secretary DCP Mohamad Mashdik Yahya.
