PUTRAJAYA, 2 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Digital and Ministry of Communications are strengthening strategic coordination to improve Malaysia’s communications and digital ecosystem and enhance public service delivery.
Ministry of Digital Secretary-General Datuk Fabian Bigar paid a courtesy call on Ministry of Communications Secretary-General Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah at Menara Komunikasi on 1 October.
The meeting focused on cooperation and strategic coordination between the two ministries, including opportunities for new areas of collaboration involving communications and digitalisation.
Both sides also discussed how closer cross-ministerial cooperation could support more effective, responsive and impactful public services for Malaysians.

The engagement reflects a broader integrated approach to using digital technology and communications as key enablers of government service delivery.
The cooperation is also aligned with Malaysia’s aspiration to become an AI Nation by 2030, an agenda being driven through the Malaysia Digital Action Plan 2030 and other national digital transformation initiatives.
