MYIX Marks 20 Years of Strengthening Malaysia’s Internet Ecosystem

KUALA LUMPUR, 3 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – Malaysia Internet Exchange (MYIX) marked its 20th anniversary with a dinner recognising organisations and individuals who have contributed to the development of Malaysia’s Internet ecosystem since its establishment in 2006.

Communications Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah officiated the anniversary dinner in Kuala Lumpur.

The event highlighted MYIX’s role over the past two decades in strengthening the country’s Internet infrastructure and supporting the development of Malaysia’s communications sector.

MYIX has also contributed to the broader digital economy by providing infrastructure that supports Internet connectivity and data exchange within the country.

The anniversary celebration served as an opportunity to acknowledge industry stakeholders who have supported MYIX’s development and growth since its establishment.

Also present was Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission Managing Director Abdul Karim Fakir Ali.
