KUALA LUMPUR, 6 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – Malaysia’s arts, culture, heritage, gastronomy and multicultural identity were highlighted as key strengths in promoting the country as a global tourism destination at the GREATEST Awards 2026 Malaysia Celebration Night.
Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) Deputy Secretary-General (Culture) Dato’ Mohd Yusri bin Mohd Yusoff attended the event at Confetti Kuala Lumpur on 2 October.
In his address, Mohd Yusri highlighted Malaysia’s cultural diversity and heritage as important assets in attracting visitors and strengthening the country’s identity internationally.
He also encouraged entrepreneurs and industry players to use their platforms and influence to promote Malaysian culture and local tourism products to wider international markets.

The event was organised by the Malaysian Women Brand Success Association (MWBSA) and MAD Branding Group, with support from MOTAC and Tourism Malaysia.
Held under the theme “Malaysia Truly Asia” and the concept “Celebrating Excellence · Legacy · Culture · Tourism”, the event also supported the objectives of the Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 campaign.
