KUALA LUMPUR, 7 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri bin Abu Bakar has called for stronger governance, integrity and responsible use of digital technology and artificial intelligence to improve Malaysia’s public service delivery.
Shamsul Azri delivered the message during a dialogue session with civil servants from the Federal Territories of Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur at the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) on 6 October.
He highlighted efficient governance, trust and integrity as key foundations for strengthening the public service.
The Chief Secretary also emphasised value-based human capital development and the use of digital advancement and AI to ensure government services remain effective and centred on the needs of the public.

The Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) said it remains committed to supporting the Public Service Reform Agenda (ARPA) by strengthening governance and organisational capabilities.
The ministry said efficient and impactful service delivery is important to ensure rural and regional development programmes translate into meaningful benefits for communities.
