Malaysia Strengthens Regional Energy Cooperation at LTMS-PIP Meeting

PHILIPPINES, 8 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – Malaysia reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening regional energy cooperation through its participation in the seventh LTMS-PIP Ministerial Meeting held in the Philippines on Wednesday (7 October).

The Malaysian delegation was led by Energy Transition and Water Transformation Ministry (PETRA) Secretary-General Dato’ Sri Haji Mad Zaidi Mohd Karli, accompanied by ministry officials.

The meeting provided a platform for continued regional engagement on energy cooperation, particularly in ensuring energy security, affordability and sustainability across Malaysia and the ASEAN region.

Malaysia’s participation reflects its ongoing efforts to support a more secure, cost-effective and sustainable regional energy system through closer cooperation with neighbouring countries.
