KUALA LUMPUR, 9 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) has launched the MyBakat initiative to strengthen Malaysia’s talent development ecosystem and address emerging workforce skills requirements.

The launch took place during the inaugural MyBakat Week 2026 at NEXUS, Bangsar, on Thursday (8 October), attracting more than 2,500 participants.

Human Resources Minister Dato’ Sri Ramanan Ramakrishnan officiated the event, held under the theme “Bakat Negara, Nadi Malaysia”, marking a new phase in TalentCorp’s 15-year journey in advancing the national talent agenda.

The event also saw the introduction of two key initiatives: the National Talent Readiness Index Platform (MyTRI) and the MyBakat Incubation Programme (MyBIG).

These initiatives aim to strengthen TalentCorp’s role as a think tank agency under the Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA) by identifying skills gaps through data-driven analysis and developing targeted talent programmes aligned with future industry needs.

The MyTRI platform focuses on assessing national talent readiness, while MyBIG supports targeted talent development efforts to better prepare Malaysians for evolving workforce demands.

These collaborations provide opportunities for Malaysians to access scholarships, digital upskilling programmes and sponsorships for artificial intelligence (AI) certifications.

Also present at the launch were KESUMA Deputy Secretary-General (Policy and International) Dr. Hj. Mohd Shaharin Umar and TalentCorp Board Chairperson Elizabeth Wong.
