The specifications were finalised during the third series of engagement sessions held from 30 October to 1 November 2026.

The sessions brought together 40 participants representing 17 ministries, departments, agencies and transport operators to coordinate transportation requirements for the upcoming regional sporting events.

Discussions focused on establishing technical specifications for vehicles, providing accessible bus facilities for persons with disabilities (PWDs) and developing a digital system to monitor transport operations in real time.

The proposed TOMS system is intended to support the monitoring and coordination of transport operations throughout the events.
