KUALA LUMPUR, 8 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – The ASEAN Artpreneur Retreat 2026 (AAR 2026) is bringing together emerging and experienced art entrepreneurs from across Southeast Asia to strengthen creative entrepreneurship and expand regional opportunities.
The 15-day programme, held from 5 to 19 October under the theme “Innovate and Elevate”, provides participants with a platform to exchange ideas, build networks and explore collaboration, market access and sustainable growth within the ASEAN creative economy.
AAR 2026 focuses on connecting art entrepreneurs from across ASEAN while encouraging innovation, creative entrepreneurship and stronger regional partnerships.
The programme also aims to help participants explore new markets and long-term growth opportunities within the creative sector.

Deputy Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Chiew Choon Man officially launched the programme at HEMISFERA Luxury Sky Hall, Menara Kuala Lumpur, on 6 October.
Also present were Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) Secretary-General Dato’ Shaharuddin bin Abu Sohot; National Art Gallery Board chairman Dr. Jalaini bin Abu Hassan; National Art Gallery Director-General Amerrudin Ahmad; as well as ambassadors and representatives from ASEAN embassies in Malaysia.
