Kuala Lumpur City Hall, in collaboration with Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd, has further expanded the Go KL Bus service by opening the ninth route known as the Chocolate Line to connect public housing areas with several strategic locations.

Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa in a statement said the free bus service involved a 14km route starting from Section 10 Wangsa Maju to the Sri Rampai LRT transit station.
According to him, the route will also connect centres of public focus such as Medan Selera D’Rejang, Masjid Abu Ubaidah and shopping malls such as AEON Big and Wangsa Walk.
“With the frequency of buses every 15 minutes, the service is expected to benefit city dwellers, especially those from the B40 group, who wish to get to the LRT station or to their workplace, ” he said.

Annuar added that the number of passengers on the GO KL Bus service last year declined following the enforcement of the movement control order.
He said in 2020, the number of passengers recorded was 9.7 million people with an average of 27,000 passengers per day compared to 2019 when it was 19.7 million people with an average of 55,000 passengers a day. – BERNAMA
