Higher Education Minister Rides LRT3 to UiTM

SHAH ALAM, 30 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir travelled to Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam by public transport on Tuesday, taking the newly operational LRT3 service in a show of support for Malaysia’s expanding public mobility network.

The minister boarded the Shah Alam Line LRT3 from Stadium Shah Alam Station to UiTM Shah Alam Station together with representatives from the UiTM Student Representative Council (MPP).

According to a Facebook post by Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi, Dr. Zambry described the journey as a meaningful experience that allowed him to witness first-hand the connectivity of the Klang Valley’s public transport system.

He said the new transport service would provide significant benefits not only to the general public but also to thousands of students attending higher education institutions across the Klang Valley by improving accessibility and daily commuting.

UiTM Shah Alam Station is among the 20 stations along the newly operational LRT3 alignment, which was officially launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen the nation’s public transportation network.

Also accompanying the minister were UiTM Vice-Chancellor Prof. Datuk Ts. Dr. Shahrin Sahib @ Sahibuddin, PRASARANA officials and UiTM Shah Alam Student Representative Council (MPP) president Mohamad Adib Hazim Mohamad Razali. – The Capital Post.
