JPJ vehicle bulldozed after driver gets fined

PETALING JAYA: The driver of a bulldozer overturned a road transport department (JPJ) vehicle after he was issued a traffic summons for not having a Class F driving licence.

The incident happened yesterday when JPJ officers were conducting an operation at Jalan Kepayan, near Kampung Magatang in Keningau, Sabah, Berita Harian reported.

One of the officers stopped the bulldozer for inspection and found that the driver did not have a Class F driving licence. Enraged after receiving the summons, he later used the bulldozer to overturn their vehicle.

A video, which went viral on social media, showed JPJ personnel trying to calm down the driver, who ignored them.

The officers were not injured, although their vehicle was badly damaged.

Keningau police chief Nor Rafidah Kasim confirmed the incident and said she would issue a statement later.-FMT
