KKDW Secretary-General Attends AI Leadership Programme for Public Sector

KUALA LUMPUR, 25 May 2026 (The Capital Post) — Secretary-General of the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW), Dato’ Sri Suriani Ahmad, attended the AI Leadership for Public Sector Stewardship programme held in Kuala Lumpur.

The programme, which gathered ministry secretaries-general and heads of public services, served as an important platform to strengthen the readiness of public sector leadership towards the nation’s artificial intelligence (AI) transformation agenda.

According to the ministry, the initiative also focused on empowering a technology-driven work culture while encouraging more progressive and innovative approaches within the public service sector.

In addition, the programme highlighted the exploration of high-impact AI use cases aimed at improving productivity, enhancing service delivery efficiency and strengthening the implementation of national development agendas, including rural development initiatives.
