KUSKOP Mid-Term Review Focuses on MSME Growth

PAHANG, 17 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Secretary-General of the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP), YBhg. Dato’ Sri Khairul Dzaimee bin Daud, officiated the KUSKOP Strategic Planning Mid-Term Review Meeting 2026, held from 14 to 16 August in Pahang.

In his address, YBhg. Dato’ Sri KSU stressed the importance of collaboration and creating a positive impact on the scaling of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through the PowerUp 10K initiative.

In line with the “Hebatkan Perniagaan Malaysia” aspiration, the initiative serves as a key platform to help local entrepreneurs advance to higher levels. A total of RM9 billion in financing has been approved from the RM15 billion overall allocation, benefiting 250,000 entrepreneurs and cooperatives.

Through strategic collaborations with various agencies, including SME Corp. Malaysia, INSKEN, SME Bank, Bank Rakyat and UDA, as well as the 100 Million Club aspiration, KUSKOP is not solely focused on financial financing but is also committed to developing a comprehensive entrepreneurship ecosystem encompassing digitalisation, productivity enhancement and greater access to global markets.

YBhg. Dato’ Sri KSU also stressed that the harmony and wellbeing of KUSKOP personnel remain a priority to ensure more meaningful and effective service delivery.

To create a friendlier, more conducive and trust-based working environment, flexibility has also been provided through the implementation of Hybrid Working Days (HBH) and Work From Home (BDR). The measures enable KUSKOP personnel to carry out their responsibilities with greater peace of mind, creativity and integrity.

Overall, the meeting aimed to assess the mid-term performance achievements of each division and agency for programmes set under the KUSKOP Strategic Planning 2026.

It also served as an important platform to discuss issues and challenges in programme implementation to support continuous improvements in the future.
