IPOH, 1 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) honoured 197 personnel and retirees at its 2026 Excellent Service Award and Jasamu Dikenang ceremony for the Northern Zone in Ipoh.
MINDEF Deputy Secretary-General Datin Roszanina binti Wahab officiated the ceremony at Kinta Riverfront Hotel & Suites on 30 September.
A total of 143 recipients received Excellent Service Award certificates together with cash performance incentives in recognition of their contributions and achievements.
Another 54 retirees received certificates of appreciation and retirement incentives, while compulsory retirees were also awarded the Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (PPT).

MINDEF said the recognition reflects the ministry’s appreciation for the dedication, service and contributions of its personnel while supporting continued improvements in service delivery.
Also present were Human Resource Management Division Secretary Mohd Khairuzaki bin Paiman, 2nd Brigade Commander Brigadier General Dato’ Mohd Rosli bin Abu Bakar, as well as senior civilian MINDEF and Malaysian Armed Forces officials.
