KUALA LUMPUR, 18 May 2026 (The Capital Post) — The Secretary-General of Malaysia’s Ministry of Works (KKR), Azman Ibrahim, officiated a familiarisation session and the presentation of the placement letter to Sarimah Umor, who has been appointed as the ministry’s new Head of Internal Audit.
According to the ministry, the appointment is expected to further strengthen the ministry’s internal audit functions while enhancing governance practices that are more transparent, accountable and effective.
The ministry also expressed hope that Sarimah Umor will continue to excel in carrying out her responsibilities with strong commitment and professionalism in efforts to improve the quality of the ministry’s service delivery.
