MELAKA, 5 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Health (MOH) reaffirmed its commitment to recognising outstanding healthcare personnel during the Melaka State Health Department’s 2025 Excellence Service Awards (APC) ceremony held at the Malacca International Trade Centre (MITC).
The event was attended by MOH Secretary-General Hasnol Zam Zam Ahmad, who congratulated the recipients for their dedication, professionalism and commitment in carrying out their responsibilities throughout the year.
A total of 789 personnel received the Excellence Service Award in recognition of their exemplary performance and contributions to the healthcare sector.
In his address, Hasnol Zam Zam emphasised that true excellence extends beyond work performance and includes integrity, ethics and accountability. He stressed that public servants must continue to uphold fairness, transparency and responsibility in delivering quality services to the people.
He also highlighted the importance of effective leadership and teamwork in building a high-performing organisation, noting that organisational success can only be achieved through strong leadership and close cooperation among employees.
As healthcare professionals, he said MOH personnel play a vital role in strengthening public confidence in the civil service. In an era of digitalisation and greater access to information, the public increasingly expects transparency, efficiency and compassion in service delivery.

He therefore encouraged healthcare workers to continue embracing innovation, improving service quality and leveraging technology while maintaining empathy and effective communication in their interactions with patients and the public.
The ministry reiterated its commitment to recognising and appreciating healthcare personnel who demonstrate excellence in carrying out their duties and responsibilities for the well-being of the rakyat and the advancement of Malaysia’s healthcare system.
Also present at the event were Melaka State Health Director Dr Husnina Ibrahim and members of the state health department’s senior management team.
