The ministry-level celebration was officially launched by Defence Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali under the theme “Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI)”.
The event brought together civilian employees of the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) personnel and preschool children for a range of activities combining conventional sports with digital elements.

In his opening address, Lokman emphasised that promoting sports forms an important part of human capital development, particularly in cultivating discipline, resilience and teamwork among ministry personnel.
He noted that these qualities contribute to a strong sense of camaraderie, or esprit de corps, which is essential for strengthening organisational cohesion and supporting the effective implementation of national defence responsibilities.
