PUTRAJAYA, 1 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) has welcomed two MADANI Fellowship 2026 participants for a four-month placement aimed at providing exposure to national policy development and implementation.
PETRA Secretary-General Dato’ Sri Haji Mad Zaidi bin Mohd Karli met with the two participants, Navaniswaran A/L Tharumen and Tan Zhe Cong, at Menara PETRA on Thursday.
The MADANI Fellowship programme was rebranded from the Program Felo Perdana following a Cabinet decision on 26 June 2026.
The government initiative is based on a mentor-mentee concept and is intended to help develop future national leadership talent.

During the meeting, Mad Zaidi encouraged the participants to make full use of their four-month placement to gain a deeper understanding of how national policies are formulated and implemented, particularly in the energy and water sectors.
PETRA said the placement is also expected to help participants build competencies, broaden their perspectives and gain practical exposure that could support their future development.
