SEOUL 17 March 2026 (The Capital Post)- SK Group chairman has warned that the global semiconductor wafer shortage is likely to persist until 2030, prompting the company to take measures to stabilise memory chip prices.

The chairman said that while demand for semiconductors continues to grow, supply constraints and production bottlenecks are expected to maintain pressure on the market for several years.

SK Group is implementing strategies to expand production capacity, improve efficiency, and collaborate with industry partners to reduce volatility in memory chip pricing.
