KUDAT, 21 May 2026 (The Capital Post) — Sabah Parks Board of Trustees Chairman Datuk Peter Lebar @ Peter Lintar today officiated the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Gazettement of Taman Tun Mustapha themed “A Decade of Conservation” held at Dewan Taman Tun Mustapha in Kudat, Sabah.
In his officiating speech, he said the celebration was not only to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the gazettement of Taman Tun Mustapha, but also symbolised a decade-long journey in strengthening marine conservation, sustainable resource management and the development of coastal communities in Sabah.
Various activities were held throughout the programme, including conservation video screenings, cultural performances, prize presentation ceremonies and recognition awards for efforts in preserving coral reefs and marine ecosystems within the Taman Tun Mustapha area.
The programme also included a visit to Kampung Tajau Laut featuring community briefing sessions and cooking activities with the local community as part of efforts to engage with coastal residents within the park area.

Also present were Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Ministry (NRES) Secretary-General Datuk Wira Anis Rizana Mohd Zainudin, Deputy Secretary-General (Environmental Sustainability) Datuk Nor Yahati Awang, Sabah Parks Deputy Director Maipol Spait and representatives from related departments and agencies.
