Three Additional Suspects Apprehended in Buntong Murder Investigation

IPOH 9 April 2026 (The Capital Post) – Police have arrested three more individuals in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in Buntong, progressing an ongoing murder investigation that has drawn significant attention.

Perak police chief Comm Datuk Noor Hisam Nordin confirmed that the latest arrests were made following coordinated efforts to identify and detain persons believed to be involved in the deadly incident. The trio is now assisting authorities with further inquiries.

The fatal attack occurred on Jalan Jalan Pasir Puteh on April 6, where the victim sustained severe injuries and later succumbed to his wounds despite receiving medical treatment. Initial investigations linked the case to a dispute believed to have escalated into violence.

Police have thus far arrested a total of four suspects, with the latest detainees aged between their late teens and early 20s. All are being held under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, which carries a mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
