Works Ministry Secretary-General Dato’ Seri Azman Ibrahim conducted a working visit to Cameron Highlands on 2 November to assess the progress of infrastructure projects in the area, particularly the bypass road.

The site inspection, conducted under the ministry’s TURPA field visit initiative, focused on evaluating physical construction progress, identifying technical challenges and ensuring compliance with established engineering and safety standards.

The ministry said the bypass project is intended to improve traffic flow, reduce travelling time and enhance road safety in Cameron Highlands, a major tourist destination.

The visit also provided an opportunity for ministry officials to assess potential construction issues directly and ensure that implementation remains aligned with the project’s scheduled timeline.
