Floods Continue in Paitan, 75 Residents Evacuated

KOTA KINABALU 13 March 2026 (The Capital Post)- A total of 75 residents have been evacuated to temporary relief centres as flooding continues to affect several areas in Paitan.

Authorities said rising water levels caused by persistent rainfall have inundated low-lying villages, prompting emergency response teams to move affected residents to safer locations.

According to the Sabah Disaster Management Committee, evacuees have been placed in designated relief centres where basic necessities and assistance are being provided.
