SEATTLE 13 March 2026 (The Capital Post)- Amazon is reportedly planning to move its annual Amazon Prime Day shopping event to June instead of the usual July schedule, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The change is believed to be part of the company’s strategy to boost sales during the mid-year period and gain a competitive edge over other retailers offering seasonal promotions.
Prime Day, which is exclusive to members of Amazon’s Prime subscription service, typically features significant discounts across a wide range of products including electronics, home appliances, fashion and everyday essentials.
Industry analysts say shifting the event earlier could help Amazon drive consumer spending ahead of other major online sales campaigns while also spreading out promotional activities across the year.
The company has not officially confirmed the change, but the report suggests preparations are underway internally to adjust the schedule for the global shopping event.-The Capital Post
