SUBANG JAYA, 10 May 2026 (The Capital Post) — Tropicana Corporation Berhad has marked a major construction milestone for the SouthPlace 2 Shoppes & Residences development at Tropicana Metropark with a topping off ceremony, signifying the completion of the project’s structural framework.

Spanning 88 acres, Tropicana Metropark has achieved an encouraging 80 per cent take-up rate, reflecting strong demand for the integrated township’s combination of residential, commercial, educational and recreational components.

The development is further enhanced by a dedicated link bridge connecting directly to the Federal Highway, improving accessibility and connectivity for residents and visitors.

The ceremony also highlighted the progress of SouthPlace 2, which is being developed with the support of main contractor Inta Bina Group Berhad and HMSK Architecture as the project architect. The development is targeted for completion by March 2027.

To strengthen buyer confidence, the quality of the development will also be assessed under the Quality Assessment System in Construction (QLASSIC), a workmanship certification programme aimed at ensuring construction quality standards.

According to Tropicana, the township continues to evolve into a vibrant community hub in Subang Jaya through its work-live-play-shop-learn concept, supported by improved connectivity and lifestyle-focused planning.

The company noted that the strong market response towards SouthPlace 2 follows the success of SouthPlace 1, which previously achieved full take-up, reflecting continued buyer confidence in Tropicana’s integrated township developments.

Tropicana said the milestone reflects its commitment to delivering sustainable and community-focused developments in line with its “OneTropicana: Connecting Communities, Forging Futures” vision. -The Capital Post
