KBSK, JKR Sabah Strengthen Collaboration to Advance Youth and Sports Infrastructure

KOTA KINABALU, 29 May 2026 (The Capital Post) — The Ministry of Youth Development, Sports Advancement and Creative Economy (KBSK) today paid a courtesy visit to the Sabah Public Works Department (JKR Sabah) to strengthen strategic cooperation in advancing youth and sports infrastructure development across the state.

The delegation was led by Permanent Secretary Datuk Mansur Asun, with the visit serving as an important platform to enhance collaboration between both agencies, particularly in the planning, implementation and monitoring of development projects that benefit youths, athletes and local communities.

During the meeting, both parties discussed the need to upgrade and enhance existing sports facilities and infrastructure in line with the Sabah Government’s aspiration to provide a conducive environment for youth development and the overall advancement of sports.

KBSK noted that stronger cooperation between relevant agencies is essential to ensuring development projects are implemented effectively and continue to meet the needs of the community.

Also present were Sabah Sports Board Deputy General Manager Muhammad Firdaus Kassim, Sabah Youth and Sports Department Deputy Director Noorman Ramlan, as well as ministry officials.
